GREENWOOD - Bobbye Jeanette Williams Davis, age 73, of Greenwood, MS, went to see her Lord on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Allegiance Specialty Hospital in Greenville, MS.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the North Cleveland Cemetery. Reverend Tim Winters will officiate the services.
Bobbye was born on October 17, 1944 to George Washington and Louie Christine (Smith) Williams in Cleveland, MS. She graduated Cleveland High School in 1962. Bobbye married William Arthur "Billy" Davis on December 1, 1963 in Metairie, LA. She was a homemaker and helped her husband in his various jobs. Her passions in life were studying the Bible and genealogy. She also made her children and grandchildren a priority in her life. She loved them all dearly. Bobbye was a life-long Church of God of Prophecy member.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Christine Williams; sister, Shelby Jean Williams and a brother George Washington Williams, Jr.
Bobbye leaves behind her husband of 54 years, William "Billy" Davis of Greenwood, MS; 2 daughters, Tanya Renee' (Brian) Chrismond of Indianola, MS; Daughter, Rhonda Gaye (Carter Kimbiel) Jenkins of Cleveland, MS; 5 grandchildren, Ashley Manning, Jordan Berryhill, Bethany Jenkins, Chris Chrismond and Erin Chrismond; 6 great-grandchildren, Preston Berryhill, Deacon Kimble, Cohen Chrismond, Mina Powell, Everette Chrismond and Elias Chrismond.
Pallbearers are Brian Chrismond, Carter Kimbriel, Al Williams, Mike Williams, Chris Chrismond and William Lindsey. Honorary pallbearers are Roy Goss, Wilber Goss and Carl Melton.
