Adolph Mosco, beloved resident of Shaw, Mississippi, and a friend cherished by many, passed away on May 29, 2025, at the Delta Nursing and Rehab facility, surrounded by loving family. Born on November 23, 1948, Adolph leaves behind a legacy filled with warmth, generosity, and cherished memories.
From his early days in Shaw, Adolph exhibited an outgoing spirit, establishing himself as a central figure in his community. He graduated from Shaw High School and further pursued his passion and skills by attending Mississippi Delta Community College, where he earned a degree in Metal Works. Yet it was in his entrepreneurial ventures that Adolph truly thrived, owning several bars throughout his life, with his most recent endeavor being the renowned Adolph's Buffalo Club. It was in his establishments that friendships were forged, and laughter echoed, exemplifying Adolph’s innate ability to bring people together.
An avid lover of leisure, Adolph found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was known for his big heart and desire to always do for others. Adolph loved delivering fresh vegetables and sweet treats to his friends. He also took immense delight in fishing, attending auction sales, and a good game of dominos. He could often be found engaging in heartfelt conversations at local bars, where he enjoyed hanging out and playing the video games. He was lovingly known by so many as “Uncle Adolph.”
Adolph Mosco is mourned by his sister, Lizzie Mosco Roark of Oxford, Mississippi, alongside beloved nieces and nephews Henry Mosco (Kerri) of Cleveland, Mississippi, Jimbo Mosco (Kim) of Cleveland, Mississippi, Kim Buehring (Nathan) of Cleveland, Mississippi, Al Roark (Carol) of Charleston, Mississippi, John May (Angie) of Memphis, Tennessee, and Matthew May of Memphis, Tennessee. Additionally, he is survived by a host of great nieces and nephews, who he cherished so dearly.
Adolph has been preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ludovina Mosco, his brother Henry Mosco, sister Angelina May, and nieces Lisa May Temple, Gina Mosco Michael, and Angie Roark Poole. They have welcomed him into the embrace of eternal rest.
The visitation for Adolph Mosco will be held on June 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at St Frances of Assisi, located at 303 Dean Blvd, Shaw, Mississippi, 38773. Father Kent Bowlds will officiate the services.
Though Adolph has departed this earthly realm, his loving spirit resonates through the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him; a testament to a life well-lived filled with love, laughter, and a profound sense of community.
