Albert Marion WhatleyMERIGOLD - Albert Marion Whatley, age 84, of Merigold, passed away on Tuesday May 12, 2015 at his home.
Visitation will be held Friday 05/15/2015 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Drew Cemetery. Reverend James McNally will officiate the services.
Albert was born on November 26, 1930 to Howard and Sally (Thompson) Whatley in Leflore County, Mississippi. He was a retired farmer and member of Bethany Baptist Church in Merigold.
Albert was preceded in death by parents, his wife, Sue Jean McIntyre Whatley, sister, Clara Mae Whatley Hagan and brothers, Millard and Earl Whatley.
Albert is survived by Sons, Marion (Faye) Whatley of Merigold, MS. Lewis (Cody) Whatley of Clarksdale, MS. Bill (Cathy) Whatley of Monroe, LA. Ed (Anna) Whatley of Clarksdale, MS. Eight grandchildren: Christopher, Asa, Brad, Blake, Jana, Will, Tanner and Meagan. Six great grandchildren: Olivia, Avery, Mary Frances, Grace, Ellie and Amelia.
Pallbearers are Christopher Whatley, Asa Whatley, Blake Whatley, Brad Whatley, Tanner Whatley, Will Rolfe and Hagan Barnes.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist church 19 Bethany Church Rd. Merigold, MS 38759
The family would like to express gratitude and appreciation to Mrs. Yvonne Baldwin for her devotion and loving care during the last several years.
