Alice Pearl Weeks

Alice Pearl McClure Weeks age 88 of Shaw, MS passed away Monday, July 17, 2022, at the Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, MS.A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Interstate Baptist Church. A celebration of life service will follow at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary.Burial will be in the North Cleveland Cemetery. Reverend Robert Haney, Lee Kirk, and Ken West will officiate the services.Alice Pearl was born August 19, 1933, to Victor Bilbo McClure and Johnnie Frances Petty McClure in Shaw, MS. She attended the Shaw Schools. After high school, she married Willie Arnold Weeks on January 18, 1950. She took pride in being a homemaker and raising her children. Alice enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for the family, working in her flower beds, quilting, cross-stitching, reading her Bible, and loving on her grandchildren. She was a member of the Interstate Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 60-plus years.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother Victor and Johnnie Frances McClure, husband Willie Arnold Weeks, daughter Nancy Tarver, son-in-law John Chouccoli, siblings; Mary Lou Reed, Frances McCarty, Victor McClure, and Frank McClure.
Alice is survived by two daughters; Betty Lou Stanford(Rickie) of Skene, MS, and Wanda Chouccoli of Shaw, MS, 7 grandchildren; Leslie Barger, Allison Stanford, Rick Stanford, Teri Mims, Traci Cummins, Travis Chouccoli, and Trent Chouccoli. 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Rick Stanford, Travis Chouccoli, Trent Chouccoli, Gene Barger, Joseph Cummins, Jackie Mims, and Stacey Beckwith. The honorary pallbearers are Caleb Barger and John Michael Mims.
