Sue was one of six children born to William and Hazel Copeland on January 2, 1937 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. She married Frank Gilbert in 1964 and they moved to Pace to raise their 5 children; Bobby, Chuck, Debbie, Joanie and Frankie. Sue was a member of Pace Pentecostal Church. In 1990, she retired after twenty-seven years, from Baxter Healthcare. With a real zest for life, a woman of faith and the heart of her family, Sue shaped their spirituality by her tireless Christian example. Possessing a true servant's heart, Sue faithfully cared for family and friends through delicious cooking/baking from scratch, sewing and embroidery. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing of love and faith. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her smiles, laughter, and humor will never be forgotten, especially with her children and grandchildren.

Sue's strong will to live, unwavering faith in God and the love and prayers of family and friends, carried her through loosing her parents, William and Hazel Copeland; husband, Frank Gilbert; two sons, Chuck Foster and Frankie Gilbert; daughter, Joanie Johns; brother, Billy Copeland and three sisters, Joyce Hicks, Joann Whitted and Patsy Boles.

She is survived by son, Bobby (Linda) Foster Sr. of Cleveland; daughter, Debbie (Erwin) Bailey of Greenville, two grandsons, Bobby (Rachael) Foster Jr. of Boyle, Jimmy Pearson of Columbus; five granddaughters; Kim Foster of Greenville, Lauribeth Foster of Brandon, Chelsea Pearson of Madison, Jessica Stewart and Kristen Bailey both of Tupelo; two great grandsons; Michael Scucchi of Greenville and Cody Bailey of Tupelo, four great granddaughters; Katelyn Scucchi of Greenville, Maddie and Chloe Foster of Boyle and Jennifer Bailey of Tupelo; brother, Jimmy (Carol) Barnes of St. Louis, MO. and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Cleveland Personal Care Community and Dr. Don Blackwood for the excellent care and love given to our Angel that lived, laughed, and loved.

Pallbearers are Howard Gilbert, Wayne Pearson, Ricky Spratlin, Gene Usery, Jerry Usery and Robert Usery. Honary pallbearers are Tommy Upton and Mike Usery.

To my cousins...you know I loved your Mama as if she were my own. My heart breaks with yours. May God pour out His amazing grace, peace, strength and most of all comfort on each of you as you walk this path. Aunt Sue is rejoicing with Jesus along with her her two beloved sisters, my Mama, Patsy and Aunt Jo as well as the many loved ones that she has so longed to see again. What a wonderful celebration! Through Jesus Christ, we too have that hope. Let us hold on to that hope! God's gift to us. Though I am weary of this world and long to be with Jesus, I pray that I will search for joy as I live on this earth awaiting God's call for me. I love you all so much. Your cousin,Linda Boles ProffittFayetteville, AR
