Anita Brasher Jennings

Cordova, TN- Anita Brasher Jennings age 81 of Cordova, TN, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Cleveland Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will follow in the North Cleveland Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Reverend Danny Bell will officiate the service.
Anita was born February 2, 1941, to John E. and Sallie Cox Brasher in Alva, MS.
She married George Jennings on December 22, 1962, in Cleveland, MS. Anita worked at Baxter Laboratories for 37 years before her retirement.
She loved her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and a great-grandson. She enjoyed sewing, making fleece blankets for all her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed baking, she was known as the "Fruit Cake Lady" each year baking fruitcakes at Christmas time to give as gifts to friends and family.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Baptist Reynolds Hospice House employees, friends, and family Leslie Galloway and Joy Lindsey for the excellent care they provided.
She was preceded in death by her parents John E. and Sallie C. Brasher, husband George E. Jennings, son, George Buck Jennings, sister, Dorie B. Robb, and brother Charles Brasher.
Anita is survived by her daughter, Carla J. Lafosse (Ronnie) of Cordova, TN, grandson, Jacob LaFosse (Kaitlyn) of Cordova, TN, grandson, Jarad Lafosse of Cordova, TN, grandson, Maverick Jennings of Cordova, TN, granddaughter, Darby Jennings of Sparta TN, and a great-grandson Sawyer Lafosse of Cordova, TN. She also leaves behind a host of extended family 5 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are James Robb, Keith Robb, Mike Brasher, Steve Brasher, and grandsons, Jacob Lafosse, Jared Lafosse, and Maverick Jennings.
Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The online guest register may be signed at www.clevelandfuneralhome.net.
