Anna Maria Pullen, aged 57, of Ruleville, Mississippi, peacefully departed from this world on June 29, 2025, at the Walter B. Crook Nursing Home in Ruleville.

Born on September 15, 1967, in Tutwiller, Mississippi, Maria was brought into this life by her devoted parents, H. O. Pullen and Ann Rizzo Pullen. Though Maria faced challenges from birth, she embodied resilience and spirit, leading a life filled with warmth, joy, and an unwavering love for those around her.

A lover of music, Maria found solace in playing the piano and enjoyed learning the guitar and banjo, often filling her surroundings with melodies that resonated with her cheerful personality. Her innate ability to connect with others left a lasting impression; Maria's vibrant spirit shone through her friendly demeanor, ensuring that she never met a stranger. The caregivers at Walter B. Crook held a special place in her heart, as did the friendships she formed with fellow residents, enveloping her journey with companionship and love.

Maria is preceded in death by her cherished parents, H. O. and Ann Pullen. She leaves behind a legacy of affection and countless memories shared with her beloved cousins and dear friends.

A memorial service to honor Maria's life will be held at Cleveland Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
