Annette Woodruff

SKENE- Annette Raney Woodruff, age 87, of the , passed away on Friday December 19, 2014 at the Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, MS.

Visitation will be held Saturday 12/20/2014 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the First Church of the Nazarene in Cleveland. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Burial will be at the North Cleveland Cemetery. Reverend Steve Holtz, Rev. James Lindsey and Jeanne Walker will officiate the service.

She was born on September 29, 1927 to Arthur Eli and Lillie Mae (White) Raney in Cascilla, MS. Annette moved to the Delta in the early 1930's with her family. She married Billy Clayton Woodruff on September 16, 1955 in Cleveland, MS. She and her husband Billy lived in Skene for many years. Annette was a Charter Member of the First Church of the Nazarene where she had served as secretary for many years on the Church Board of Directors and sang in the choir. Annette loved to cook, work crossword puzzles, and listen to Southern Gospel Music. She loved her grandchildren and adored her many pets. She was preceded in death by husband Billy Clayton Woodruff, daughter; Susan Lindsey, Sister, Doris Davis, 3 brothers; Ben, Buddy and Robert Raney.

She is survived by Son, Larry and wife Debbie Woodruff of Indianola, MS. Daughter, Carol Woodruff of Skene, MS. Sister, Faye Pearcy of Cleveland, MS. Grandchildren; Joshua Lindsey, Richard Woodruff, Matthew Woodruff, and Hunter Lindsey. One great granddaughter, Anna Rivers Lindsey. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Wallace Boyd, Chuck Woodruff, her four grandsons; Joshua Lindsey, Richard Woodruff, Matthew Woodruff and Hunter Lindsey.
