Annie Robinson

Annie Lavelle Robinson, age 93, of Ruleville formerly of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday November 29, 2012 at the Walter B Crook Nursing Home in Ruleville.  She was born on March 03, 1919 to James and Lee (Lyons) Mosley in Union County, MS. Ms. Robinson grew up in Sledge, MS and attended grade school there. She married John Leroy Robinson in the late 1930's. She and her husband moved to the Zumbro plantation.  During WW II she and her family moved to New Jersey, where she was a women's defense worker in a radio manufacturing plant. She and her husband owned and operated Robinson Grocery in Renova for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother always willing to assist with the raising of her grandchildren. She had a green thumb and enjoyed growing flowers in her yard. The family always loved to gather at her home to enjoy her wonderful cooking. She will be greatly missed by all of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Robert Mosley, Clifton Mosley, J D Mosley, sister Leatrice Mosley, and daughter, Patricia Maxwell and Carolyn Hood.
 Visitation will be held Saturday December 1, 2012 10:00AM until 11:00AM Funeral Service in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville.
She is survived by Son, Johnny (Karen) Robinson of Cleveland, MS. Daughter, Jenell Mitchel of Cleveland, MS.  Brother, Rayburn Mosley of Cleveland, MS.  Brother, Haley Mosley of Cleveland, MS. Brother, Earl Mosley of Cleveland, MS.  Sister, Doris Andrews of Merigold, MS.  Sister, Pearl Hutchinson of Mobile, AL. Sister, Lorene Steadman of Cleveland, MS.  10 Grandchildren Sandy Huerta of Cleveland, MS., Scott Speakes of Cleveland, MS, Monica Wolfe of Minter City, MS., Matt Maxwell of Miami, FL., Gary Elmore of Rock Springs, WY., Melanie Tharp of Brandon, MS., Heather Garrison of Dallas, TX., Morgan Robinson of Jackson, MS., Laurel Robinson of Jackson, MS., Leah Robinson of Jackson, MS. 13 Great Grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Scott Speakes, Raymond Huerta, Morgan Robinson, Justin Huerta, Matt Maxwell, Jimmy Hutchinson, Jeff Andrews and William Mc Ilwain.
