Anslem Gordon Lott, aged 81, passed away on June 7, 2023, at the Delta Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cleveland, MS. Born on August 15, 1941, in Rosedale, MS to Sylvester Dale Lott and Jewell Ruth Kirkland Lott at the Dixie Plantation. He received his education from Rosedale Schools and then joined the United States Navy in July of 1959 where he held the rank of Seaman 1st Class.

On July 11, 1964, he married Amy McKnight in Trenton, GA. Gordon had an illustrious career as a truck driver for Boyd Brothers Transportation for fifteen years. Additionally, he was a licensed riverboat captain and construction foreman for W & W Construction for several years. He was a devoted member of the Baptist faith and served as a long-time member of Trinity Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Rosedale, MS.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents Sylvester and Jewell Lott, his daughter Connie Sue Hayes, sister Dorris Evelyn Rogers, brothers James Rayburn Lott and Dale Nobles Lott.

He leaves behind his wife of 59 years Amy McKnight Lott of Beulah, MS; daughter Johnnie Parr of Shreveport, LA; son-in-law Robert Hayes of Beulah; granddaughters Brandie Hayes and Tammy Walters; grandsons John Gordon Hayes (Ashden) and Charles Parr; great-grandchildren Christin Hayes, Colton Little, Tamara Hayes (Victor), Madison Walters, Steele Hayes, Grayson Walters, and great great grandchildren; Novah Hawkins, & Jeremiah Hawkins.

The Graveside funeral service will be held at Beulah Cemetery in Beulah at 1:00 PM Sunday on June 11th. The service will be officiated by Reverend James Clinton. The deacons of First Baptist Church of Rosedale, MS will be honorary pallbearers for the service. Cleveland Funeral Home has been entrusted with the service arrangements.

May Anslem Gordon Lott rest in peace and forever be missed by his loved ones, colleagues, friends, family, and the community he was a part of.
