Arthur Woodrow "Woody" Jones, 66, of Palestine, Texas died Friday, February 19, 2010 in Richardson, Texas. Interment services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Beulah Cemetery with Rev. Eric Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 26, 2010 at Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. Woody was born in Dublin, MS on July 22, 1943. He was a retired law enforcement officer from Ft. Worth, Texas, Yazoo City, MS, and Jackson County Sheriff's Department, Pascagoula, MS. He was also a constable of Yazoo City, MS. Survivors include his loved son, Jamie Jones and his wife Renee' Jones of Wylie, Texas. Four brothers, Houston and JW Jones of Palestine, Texas, Tommy Jones of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Doyle Jones of Yazoo City, MS. He also had 2 grandchildren, Hannah Jones and Cole Jones. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emitt and Lillian Jones, his sisters, Sue Jones and Linda Morgan, and brother Robert Jones. Pall-bearers are Tim Lawless, Wesley Lawless, Tony Parker and Lance Morgan. Honorary pall-bearer is Cole Jones. Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
