Billie Jean Tubbs Sherron Allegrezza, aged 93, of Southaven, MS, formerly of Cleveland, MS, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026, at the Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven, MS.
Born on June 8, 1933, in Monticello, AR, to Carl Thomas Tubbs and Viola Ellis Tubbs, Billie Jean moved with her family to Cleveland in 1945. She attended Cleveland Schools, building a strong foundation in the community she loved. In 1992, she married Johnny Allegrezza, having been previously married to the late Marcus S. Sherron. Her career at Baxter Laboratories spanned 27 years, where she was dedicated in roles as an inspector and worked in the lab and receiving.
Billie Jean was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, cherishing her family deeply. Her passion for gardening lasted well into her 90s, where she found joy and peace in nature. A long-time member of Morrison Chapel Baptist Church, her faith and church family were central to her life, and she valued each member dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved spouses Johnny Allegrezza and Marcus S. Sherron, daughter Patricia Alford, son-in-law Jimmy Alford, and siblings Betty Jo Hopper, Carl Tubbs Jr., Wayne Tubbs, Mayo Tubbs, Ernie Tubbs, and Danny Tubbs.
Billie Jean leaves behind a loving legacy through her children: Marcus Wayne Sherron (Kay), Carla Sherron Gardella (Gary), and Tony Scott Sherron; grandchildren James Alford (Jodie), Brian Alford (Gracie), Jake Alford (Nikki), Jeanna Nichols (Tom), Kristen Sears (Billy), Justen Sherron (Lindsey), Jake Gardella (Cayla), Shane Gardella, Trey Henderson (Taylor), and great-grandchildren Jack Sears, Sam Sears, Grey Nichols, Asher Nichols, Grant Alford, Chapman Alford, Nellie Beth Sherron, Silas Sherron, Gemma Gardella, Julianna Alford, Brayden Alford, McKailynn Alford, Myleigh Alford, James Christopher Alford, Lindsey Wisniewski, and Ryan Alford.
A visitation will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Morrison Chapel Baptist Church, followed by a Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at North Cleveland Cemetery, with Rev. John Thomas officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Jake Alford, Justen Sherron, Jake Gardella, Shane Gardella, Brian Alford, James Alford. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Sears, Tom Nichols, and Gary Gardella.
