Bobby Foster Sr.

Bobby Gene Foster, Sr., age 68, of Boyle, MS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, also at Cleveland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Cleveland Cemetery. Reverend Crocket Kennedy will officiate the services.

Bobby was born on November 19, 1955, in Fairbanks, Alaska. At an early age, his family relocated to Cleveland, MS where he attended Cleveland Schools. Bobby was a man of many talents and devoted many years of his life to his work. He worked with Schwan’s Foods and later served as office manager for over 20 years with C P House Gas Company.

Beyond his professional life, Bobby cherished the moments spent with his loved ones. He was a true family man who found joy in the company of his grandchildren. Bobby took great pleasure in attending their sporting events or any other activity they were involved in. He had a gift for storytelling and loved to share tall tales with anyone willing to listen. Additionally, he enjoyed playing dominoes with his friends.

Bobby had a strong faith and found solace within his church community at The H.O.P.E Church. His commitment to his church family was unwavering.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Alma Sue Gilbert; brothers Chuck Foster and Frankie Gilbert; and sister Joanie Marie Johns.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Linda Arbuckle Foster of Boyle, MS; son Bobby Foster Jr. (Rachel) of Boyle, MS; and two grandchildren, Maddie Foster and Anna Chloe Foster. He also leaves behind a sister, Debbie Bailey (Erwin) of Greenville, MS, as well as several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

The pallbearers for Bobby's service will be Floyd Arbuckle, Ike Arbuckle, Floyd Arbuckle Jr., John Arbuckle Jr., Robert Usery, and Wayne Pearson. Howard Gilbert, Danny Sanders, James McDonald and Erwin Bailey and Freddie Utz will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cleveland Funeral Home.
