CLEVELAND - Bobby H. Mccarty, age 84, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday September 6, 2017 at the Bolivar Medical Center. 

Visitation will be held Friday, September 8, 2017 from 12:00 PM until 02:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 8, 2017 in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the North Cleveland Cemetery. Rev. Fish Robinson and Rev. Gabby Hays will officiate the services.

Bobby was born December 22, 1932 in Chester, MS to Troy McCarty and Clara Ballard McCarty. He moved to the Cleveland area in 1950. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He married Frances McClure on May 5, 1954. Bobby was the store Manager for Jay's Department Store for 51 years. He was the founder and President of the C.R.A for 22 years. Bobby was a Sunday School teacher and an active deacon at Yale Street Baptist Church where he was a member. He enjoyed gardening and giving to his family and friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents,Troy and Clara Ballard McCarty, his wife, Frances McClure McCarty and his brother Billy McCarty.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Hopkins, Scottie Harrison, Steven Williams, Nick Jennings, Larson Ingram and Mason Dean. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Weeks, W.B. Beach, Scott Dean, Sam Compston, Deb Gee and Thomas Bennett.

Bobby is survived by Daughter, Bobbie (Scott) Dean of Boyle, MS;  Daughter, Vicki (Sam) Compston of Wiggins, MS;  Daughter, Dianne White of Greenville, MS;  Daughter, Michelle Hopkins of Olive Branch, MS; Sister, Nanilou Long of Ackerman, MS;  Sister, Martha Oswalt of Ackerman, MS;  Grandchildren; Sheri Ingram of Cleveland, MS, Emily (Brad) Calcote of Wiggins, MS, Thomas Bennett of Greenville, MS and Nick Jennings of Wiggins, MS, Mason (Rachel) Dean of Vicksburg, MS; Great-grandchildren; Shelby Bracken of Cleveland, MS, McKarlee Ingram of Cleveland, MS , Ethan Hopkins of Olive Branch, MS and Larson Ingram of Cleveland; Raegan & Avery Dean of Vicksburg, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Yale Street Baptist Church 1215 North Yale Street Cleveland, MS 38732.
