Bonnie Fay Blessitt Fausnight, age 73, of Shaw, Mississippi, peacefully passed away on December 19, 2025, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
Bonnie was born on November 9, 1952, to Charley Allen Blessitt and Dovie Lavonia Hood Blessitt in Drew, Mississippi. She attended Linn and Ruleville Schools. On July 22, 1972, she married her beloved husband, Debral K. Fausnight, in a heartfelt ceremony at Linn Baptist Church in Linn, Mississippi. Bonnie attended Elliott Baptist Church in Elliott, Mississippi.
Throughout her life, Bonnie dedicated herself to raising her family while also pursuing her passion for creating beautiful plastic canvas art. She was well-known for her generous spirit and unwavering love for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her kindness and selflessness made a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Dovie Blessitt, her great grandson, Memphis Fuller, and an infant child. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 53 years, Debral K. Fausnight, and their three children: Klint M. Fausnight (Cheryl) of Cleveland, Mississippi; Lester Fausnight (Nita) of Lake Village, Arkansas; and Montana Fausnight Barnes (Mark) of Harrison, Arkansas. Bonnie also cherished her siblings: brother John Blessitt of Dallas, Georgia, and sisters Brenda Blessitt of Vernon, Alabama, and Sharon Dendy of Ackerman, Mississippi. Her legacy continues through her 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory dear.
Visitation will take place at Linn Baptist Church Cemetery in Linn, Mississippi, on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 12:00 PM in the church. Reverend Michael Payton and Reverend Doug Tuberville will officiate the services, with burial to follow in the Linn Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Klint Fausnight, Lester Fausnight, Montana Barnes, Landyn Fausnight, Jacob Scaggs, and Nathan Bray. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Casto, Jonathan Kendall, and Mark Barnes
Memorial donations may be made in Bonnie’s name to St. Jude or Linn Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, honoring her memory and her commitment to her community.
Bonnie will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her love and dedication to family, friends, and her artistic endeavors. Cleveland Funeral Home is honored to serve Bonnie's family during this difficult time.
