Catherine Williams Kent, age 77, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday September 17, 2014 at the Bolivar Medical Center.
Visitation will be held Friday 09/19/2014 from 9:30 AM 11:00 AM at Cleveland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Lehrton Cemetery. Reverend Milton Burd will officiate the service.
Catherine was born on August 09, 1937 to Casey and Cecil (Helms) Williams in Ruleville. She was a life long Ruleville resident until her retirement to Cleveland. She was a former Ruleville Manufacturing employee for many years and retired from North Sunflower Hospital after 15 years of service with the dietary department. Catherine was a member of First Baptist Church Cleveland. She loved to volunteer at the area nursing homes. Her family says she was a loving mother who loved her children and grandchildren and will be missed by her many loving friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 51 years Bobby Jene Kent, Sr., two Sisters; Helen Burton and Sue Kimbrell.
She is survived by Son, Bob (Barbara) Kent of Cleveland, MS. Son, Barry (Tenna) Kent of Doddsville, MS. Sister, Nell Williams of Mountain Home, AR. Sister, Elizabeth Kendricks of Cleveland, MS. Grandchildren are Catie Kent Gunn, BJ Kent, Casey Kent, Bethany Kent, Ryan Kent, and Anna Kent and 6 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are BJ Kent, Ryan Kent, Billy Ray Kent, Harold Bright Jr., Kelly Grissette, Ken Williams, Lonnie Williams.
