Charles Schlette, Sr.

Mr. Charles Schlette, age 68, passed away on December 28, 2025, at the Cleveland Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cleveland, MS.

Born in Arkansas to Jeff and Henrietta Beard Schlette, Charles spent many years living in Yazoo City, MS. He dedicated a significant part of his life to being a long-haul truck driver, a profession that allowed him to explore various places and meet wonderful people along the way.

Charles is preceded in death by his loving parents, Jeff and Henrietta Schlette, as well as his brothers, Harvey and John Schlette. He is survived by his three children: Lela Villard of Jackson, MS; Wendy Sprague of Jackson, MS; and his son, Charles Schlette, Jr. of Yazoo City, MS. In addition, he leaves behind ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his memory.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date to honor and celebrate the life of Charles Schlette.
