Cheryl Diane Haney

Cheryl Diane Holt Haney, age 79 of Ruleville, MS, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, at her home in Ruleville, MS.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM and continue until 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Cleveland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS. Family and friends are welcome to gather at The Pharmx in Ruleville after the services.

On July 1, 1946, Haney was born to Edward Leggs Holt and Lou Allene Allison Holt in Hamilton, Arkansas. She later moved to Stringtown where she graduated as salutatorian from Benoit High School in 1964. She married Jimmy Linn Haney in February 8, 1966.

She was well-known for her hard work ethic, land surveying expertise, and meticulous bookkeeping skills. Many knew her as the backbone of Haney Farming.

She was proceeded in death by her mother and father; brother, Jim Holt (Edna Rose); sister, Linda Walker; nephew, Little Jim Holt; nephew, Terry Holt; brother-in-law, Gary Haney (Linda Sue); father-in-law, Thomas Haney (Earline).

She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years as well as her son, Troy Haney (Anne Cobb); daughter, Niki Haney (Bill Naron); sister-in-law, Gwen Boyer (Tully); brother-in-law, Terry Haney (Margaret); and beloved grandchildren: Kortni Malone (Chris Orr), Kristen Murphy (Rob), Cole Toler (Shelby), and Keely Haney. She will be especially missed by her great-grandchildren: Kenlea Malone, Michael Malone, Valerie Claire Murphy, Kayce Wayne Murphy, Roman Toler, Rosalia Toler.

Pallbearers will be Cole Toler, Michael Malone, Bill Naron, Sam Goss, Rodney Walker, Glen Rickels, and Patrick Overstreet.

Cleveland Funeral Home has been given the honor of serving Diane’s family during this time.
