Claude Rome Vanderford

Claude Rome Vanderford age 87 of Drew, Ms passed away at North Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville, Ms. on April 30, 2023. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 10:00 till 10:45 at Cleveland Funeral Home, a graveside service will follow at Delta Heights Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, Ms. at 11:00.

Claude was born March 10, 1936 to Robert Alexander and Dovie Gray Vanderford in Crenshaw, Ms. He grew up in Rosedale and Shaw Ms. He was never married and has no children. He liked to go to church and sit outside talking to the dogs.

Claude is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dovie Vanderford. Sisters; Betty Andrews, Louise Leopard, Barbara Lowen, and Levell Claxton. Brothers; Henry Vanderford, Monrow Vanderford, WL Vanderford, and Halbert Vanderford.

Claude is survived by Deano and Ann Huskey of Drew, Ms., Betty Ray of Drew Ms., James and Terry Andrews of Sidon Ms., and Bobby Glen and Rita Vanderford of Hollandale Ms. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, and nephews to cherish his memory.

Pallbearers are; James Huskey, Damien Huskey, Lil David Ray, Dustin Irby, Anthony Andrews, and BJ Irby. Honorary Pallbearers are Deano Huskey, James Andrews, and Shane Huskey.
