Clyde Boswell

November 9, 1943 — December 10, 2011

Clyde Lamar Boswell, age 68, of Cleveland, died on Saturday December 10, 2011 at his home.   Visitation will be held Tuesday December 13, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held 10:00a.m. Wednesday December 14, 2011 10:00 a.m. at Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be follow in the Delta Heights Memorial Gardens.   Clyde was born on November 09, 1943 to Rufus and Mildred (Linville) Boswell in Boyle. He graduated from Cleveland High School in 1962 and attended Delta State University. He was a decorated US Air Force Vietnam War Veteran having received the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal and the Air Medal. He married Pam Wielert on March 23, 1965 in Crescent City, IL. Clyde worked for the Postal Service for 31 years and retired as the Rosedale, MS Postmaster in 2000. He was a member of the American Legion, a dedicated First Baptist Church of Boyle member where we was a deacon. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and play golf. Clyde was a loving husband, father and grandfather who cherished the time he spent with family. He was preceded in death by his father.  He is survived by wife of 47 years, Pam Wielert Boswell of Cleveland, MS.  Son, Craig Boswell of Hernando, MS.  Two daughters, Melissa Ann Boswell Milbrand of Cleveland, MS. and Kimberly Sue Boswell Phillips of Cleveland, MS. Mother Mildred L. Boswell of Cleveland, Three brothers, Billy Boswell of Cleveland, MS, Jimmy Boswell of Indianola, MS and Curtis Boswell of Phoenix, AZ. Grandchildren; Lauren Walker, Taylor Boswell, Chelsey Milbrand, Raven Phillips, Ragan Milbrand, Marli Boswell, Bretlyn Phillips, Hayden Milbrand, Conner Boswell and Great grandchild McKenzley Milbrand.  Pall-bearers are Larry Howard, Ron McKnight, Robert Earl Hood, Robert Earl Stewart, Jim Armishaw, Bobby Elliot and Billy Boswell. Honorary pall-bearers are the Deacons of First Baptist Church Boyle. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Boyle P O Box 218 Boyle, MS 38730.
