Dolly Williams

October 10, 1930 — March 9, 2018

CLEVELAND - Dolly Smith Williams, age 87, of Cleveland, MS, went to be with her Lord on Friday, March 09, 2018 at the Indywood Estates surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 12, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland.  Celebration of Life Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will be at the North Cleveland Cemetery. Reverend Crocket Kennedy and Reverend Ken Harris will officiate the services.
Dolly was born on October 10, 1930 to Elmer Harrison and Delphia (Graham) Smith in Litton, MS.  She married Charles Edward Williams in 1950. Dolly was a hard-working caregiver for her family.  She  had worked at several area restaurants, including The T Room and Simmons, before beginning her career as a shipping clerk at Ruleville Manufacturing, where she retired in 1984. 
After her retirement, she continued working as a caregiver and some house cleaning jobs. Dolly was a devout Christian who enjoyed walking the streets of Cleveland sharing Jesus' love to all she met.  She was a loving giving woman who will forever be held in the memories of her many friends and family. Dolly was a long-standing member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Her hobbies, other than sharing her faith, were traveling to see her friends and family.  She was always on ready to take a trip. She also loved taking care of her many family members and especially her grandchildren. Special thanks is offered to Indywood Estates for the excellent care and supervision.
Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Delphia Smith; her husband, Charles Williams; infant daughter, Cathy Dell Williams; son, Sammy Williams and her 6 siblings; Lucille Lindsey, Delvine Freeman, Christine Williams, Norman Smith, June Smith and Charles Smith, Sr.
 Dolly is survived by Daughter, Mary "Sissy" Lancaster of Merigold, MS.  Daughter, Julie (Johnny) Garcia of Mesquite, TX.  Son, Al (Melanie) Williams of Shaw, MS.  Son, Charlie "Mike" (Myong) Williams of Cleveland, MS.  Son, Tony (Kimberly) Williams of Mesquite, TX.  14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Casey Williams, Adam Williams, Jonathan Williams, Daniel Smith, Brian Williams and Mason Moore. Honorary pallbearers are Justin Daniels, Dillon Williams, Zachery Moore and Nathan Moore.
Memorials may be made to St Jude's Children Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38501.
