Edward Gresham

Pastor Edward Bruce Gresham, age 64, of Merigold, died on Saturday August 10, 2013 at his home.
Visitation will be held Monday 08/12/2013 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland . Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday 08/13/2013 at Mid-South Baptist Church in Cleveland , MS . Burial will be at the Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS.
Bruce was born on April 15, 1949 to Henry and Alice (Roberts) Gresham in Tuscaloosa , AL . He attended Mobile , Alabama schools and had obtained a Masters Degree from the Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans , LA. He married Evelyn Paul on May 02, 1970 in Foley, AL. Bruce was a former Cleveland Police Officer and a retired vehicle inspector from the Mississippi Department of Transportation. He was the Pastor at Mid-South Baptist Church for over 30 years. He served his church in every capacity, loving each member and seeing to their needs. He was a huge BAMA football fan and also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends.
He is survived by Spouse, Evelyn Paul Gresham of Merigold , MS . Two sons; Daniel Edward (Angie) Gresham of Cleveland, MS and David Paul (Teague) Gresham of Richmond, VA. One grandson, Nathan Gresham of Cleveland , MS and one granddaughter, Delaney Heinz of Richmond , VA.
Pallbearers are Junior Cobb, Melvin Steadman, James Dill, Ricky Moody, Caleb Gilbert, Stephan Gilbert and Ricky Stone. Honorary pallbearers are Earl McCown, Lanny Mosley and his officer friends from MDOT.
Memorials may be made to Bruce's favorite charity; St. Jude's Children Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis , TN 38105.
