Elizabeth "Liza" Vaughn, age 43, of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday April 21, 2012 at her home. Visitation will be held from Tuesday April 24, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Cleveland. Celebration of Christian Mass will follow at 3:00 PM at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church.  Burial will be at the North Cleveland Cemetery. Father Charles Bucciantini and Father Kent Bowlds will officiate.  Liza was born on April 16, 1969 to Charles A. and Jane (Power) Jordan, Jr. in Yazoo City. She graduated from Washington High School in Greenville; she attended college at Mississippi State University and graduated from Delta State with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration.   Liza married Lawrence Edward Vaughn on October 31, 1992 in Greenville, MS, and was the mother of two sons William Thomas and Joseph Tyler Vaughn.  She was a former assistant Vice-President and head teller for the Cleveland Community Bank SSB for 16 years and for the past five years she has been the Assistant Alumni Director at Delta State University. Liza was very active in the Cleveland community where she was a member of the Cleveland Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow, life member of the Jr. Auxiliary, assisted with Relay for Life events, member of the USTA Tennis League and the Cleveland Country Club. She loved Delta State Athletics attending every event possible and especially loved tailgating with her friends and family at the games.  Liza is survived by her Husband of 19 years, Lawrence Edward Vaughn of Cleveland, MS. Two sons; William Thomas Vaughn and Joseph Tyler Vaughn both of Cleveland, MS.   Father Charles A. Jordan, Jr. of Greenville, MS.  Mother, Jane Power Jordan of Greenville, MS.  Sister, Adrian J. Love and husband Walker of Atlanta, GA.  Paternal Grandparents, Charles A and Mabel N. Jordan, Sr of Carter, MS. Five nieces and four nephews. Pallbearers are Edward Kossman, Tom Janoush, Craig Verhage, Jay Burchfield, David Griffith, Mike Matthews, Ken McGarrh and Milan Killebrew. Honorary pallbearers are; Jamie Van Vulpen, Ronnie Warrington, Paul Janoush, Butch Bassie, Robert Heslep, David Norquest and Will Bradham. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center P.O. Box 4486 Houston, Texas 77210-4486. Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
