Eloise W. Tharp, age 74, of Cleveland, died on Tuesday April 06, 2010 at the River Oaks Hospital. She was born on February 09, 1936 to J. H. and Cammie (Blackwell) Weeks in Boyle, MS. Eloise graduated from Boyle High School in 1954. She married Eugene Tharp on July 15, 1956 in Boyle Baptist Church Boyle, MS. Mrs. Tharp was a retired sales representative for Sears. She had worked in the Cleveland store for 42 years until her retirement. Mrs. Tharp was a reputable business woman who along-side her husband owned Gene's Vinyl Siding and The Cleveland Flower & Commissary. She was an active member of First Baptist Church Boyle, MS. Eloise will always be remembered for her kind heart and willingness to help anyone in need. Her family says she was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and a friend to all who knew her. Visitation will be held Thursday April 8, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 08:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral Services will be held Friday April 9, 2010 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church Boyle in Boyle, MS. Burial will follow at the New Cleveland Cemetery. Rev. Clarence Edwards and Rev. Bill Kirkpatrick will officiate the service. Mrs. Tharp was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Brian Foster, four sisters and 5 brothers. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Eugene Tharp of Cleveland, MS. Son Danny and wife Fay Tharp of Cleveland. Daughter, Cathy and husband Raymond Daniels of Cleveland, MS. Granddaughter, Amanda and husband Stacey Oswalt of Cleveland, MS. Grandson, Ray and wife Kristy Daniels of Brandon, MS. Two great granddaughters, Emma Oswalt of Cleveland, MS and Lauren Daniels of Brandon, MS. Two great grandsons, Taylor Oswalt and Ryan Oswalt both of Merigold, MS. Sister, Marie Fancher of Greenwood, MS. and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Charles Ellis, Kenneth Ellis, J C Pittman, Wayne Pittman, Tommy Tharp and Charles Gilmer. Honorary pallbearers are James "Petie" Morgan, Charles Jones, Dub Sumrall, Larry Ellis, Charles Warren and George Evans, Jr. Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice. Cleveland Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
