Hi I am Geralds sister.. Shara McClure Beckwith. We have read all your comments and contributions . We appreciate each and every one of them. I tried to respond to them individually, but couldnt figure it out. Gerald loved his family and friends and we are so thankful for you all sharing the fond memories and pictures . He is at peace now in heaven and we rest in the assurance we will see him again one day. Thank you and we love you

One of the first friends I made in the Corps all those years ago. Found our selves stationed together from Coast to Coast. Jeff as I referred to him had my back many a nights in one drinking establishment or another or one deployment to another. Many a road trips to Sumter SC and many fishing trips in Yuma AZ. Gonna miss you.

Gerald was a good man. I served with him in the Marines, based in Yuma Arizona. When my tour was almost over, my wife moved back home to Ohio ahead of me. So, for a couple months I was alone, and Gerald (we called him by his callsign Nelick) took me in. He cooked a lot of meals, and we spent time sipping drinks and playing flight simulator on his computer. We talked about life and had a lot of laughs. These are the memories I will take with me. Rest easy my friend.

Gerald (GF) was my wingman all throughout Okinawa. We ended up in many places together while in the Marines. Always had his brothers backs. Just last week we were still talking by phone at least vent about what bothers us....LOL.... Rest easy my brother. You will never be forgotten. S/F JW

I, too, served with Nelick in Yuma. Shared lots of laughs, a couple rounds of 4am summer desert golf through the sprinklers and a few cocktails. Although we lost touch he was a great friend that was as loyal as they come. I think about him often.
