Ila Burton Lamb, age 104, of the Litton Community, died on Monday February 08, 2010 at the Bolivar County Medical Center in Cleveland. She was born on October 24, 1905 to Willis Edward "Will" and Alvia (Robertson) Burton in Eupora, MS. She was married to the late Jim Tom Lamb March 26, 1926. Mrs. Lamb moved to the Litton Community with her family in 1940 there she and her husband raised 15 children. She became a very good seamstress having sewed all her children's clothes and making quilts for their bedding. Her family says she was a wonderful cook who enjoyed life and taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 boys; Ralph, Glenn, Andrew, Kent, Bobby Joe Lamb and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held from Thursday February 11, 2010 from 9:00~11:00AM at Cleveland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Shaw Cemetery. She is survived by Daughter, Sue Sneed of Memphis, TN. Daughter, Maxine Gibson of Gulf Port, MS. Daughter, Betty Cohen of Savannah, GA. Son, Jim Tom Lamb, Jr. of , TX. Daughter, Sara Cato of Windsor, SC. Son, Willis Harold Lamb of Litton, MS. Daughter, Mable Pigatti of Los Vegas, NV. Daughter, Bonnie Wigington of Shaw, MS. Daughter, Beth Worbington of Litton, MS. Son, Terry Lamb of Boyle, MS. Sister, Louise Bagwell of Eupora, MS. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Pall-bearers are Michael Lamb, Michael Sears, Brandon Baldwin, Johnny Sneed Barry Cohen and Steve Cohen. Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons. Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
