James Ashley,

CLEVELAND- James L. Ashley, Sr. age 72, of Cleveland, died Wednesday January 26, 2011 at the Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland. He was born on May 16, 1938 to James and Bonnie (Mosley) Ashley in Cleveland, MS. Mr. Ashley grew up in Merigold, MS and graduated from Merigold High School. He was a retired automobile dealer.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 Saturday January 29, at the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. B. Hays officiating. Burial will follow at the North Cleveland Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be at the Cleveland Funeral Home at 12:00 noon prior to the service.
Mr. Ashley is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two daughters; Cheryl Beasley (Norman) of Hattisburg, MS and BJ Ashley of Brandon, MS and two sons; James L. Ashley, Jr. (Rebecca) of Louisville, MS and Todd Ashley of Cleveland, MS. Two sisters; Billie Jo Ashley of Cleveland, MS, Wilma Wilcutt of Winona, MS and niece Norma Jean Wilcutt of Cleveland, MS. Survivors also include six grandchildren; Hunter Beasley, Spencer Ashley, Smith Ashley, Jordan Ashley, Chandler Ashley, and Evans Ashley.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Cobb, Larry Harrison, Robert Andrew, Rayburn Mosley, Gene McNeer and Ronald Parsons.
Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
