James Leroy Hanna, Jr.

CHARLESTON- James Leroy Hanna, Jr, age 71 of Charleston MS, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, TN.

Jimmy was born on September 17, 1947, to James L. and Bertha Downs Hanna in Sunflower County, MS, he worked for Wade Incorporated in Webb, MS and retired from Wade Incorporated.

He loved hunting, fishing and listening to music but most of all he loved fixing John Deere tractors.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James L. Hanna and Bertha Downs Hanna, grandson, Fredrick Ware, III(Fred), brother Carl Hartness and sister, Carolyn Sanders.

Jimmy is survived by his only child Tracy (Freddy) Ware of Ruleville, MS, grandchild, Courtney (Dylan)Ware Lofton, great-grandchildren, River Waylon Ware, and Tyler Perrigin, a brother Sammy Malloy, sisters, Linda Bays, Beulah Wertz, Violet Vaughn, Melody Hemdry, and Dee Bomar. He also leaves several nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
