James Eugene Powell

CLEVELAND - James Eugene Powell, age 68, of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday July 09, 2016. He was born on September 03, 1947 to Lonnie and Helen (Jennings) Powell in Bessemer, Alabama. James was a former fork lift operator, production line operator and also oversaw the robot operation at Baxter Laboratories. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. James loved to Fish, BBQ and spend quality time with his family.
James was preceded in death by his parents Lonnie and Helen Powell and a brother Johnny Powell.
He is survived by Daughter, Crystal (Mark) Thornton of Cleveland, MS. Son, Michael (Lydia) Powell of Cleveland, MS. Sister, Janis (Jerry) Mayo of Shaw, MS. 3 Grandchildren, James D. (Bryce) Powell, Baylee Thornton and Jennings Powell. 2 Great grandchildren, John M. Powell and Kathleen Powell. 2 nieces, Renee (Matthew) Tomek and Beth Young

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
