Jeffery Carroll, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on July 14, 2025, in Cleveland, Mississippi, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, and an unwavering passion for life. Born on May 13, 1964, in Ruleville, Mississippi, his journey was one marked by dedication both to his profession and to those he cherished.
Jeffery began his illustrious career in diesel mechanics at the tender age of 18, taking his first steps into the industry with Massey Ferguson. His commitment to excellence paved the way for a 39-year tenure at WADE INC, where he became known not only for his technical skills but also for his work ethic and camaraderie. Following his retirement, his love for labor led him to Prewitt Farms, where he continued to contribute under the guidance of Bern Prewitt, showcasing an indomitable spirit that transcended retirement.
On December 27, 1995, in Cleveland, Mississippi, Jeffery married the love of his life, Debra Reynolds. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with laughter, care, and companionship. His joy and pride expanded with the birth of his daughter. He leaves a cherished legacy through his daughter, Rhys Carroll, who carries forward the values he instilled in them.
In addition to his family, Jeffery was a proud member of the 501st Stormtrooper Legion, using his passion for community engagement to raise funds for the Relay for Life Cancer Society and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, demonstrating his belief in the importance of giving back to those in need. His interests extended beyond mechanics; he found joy in RC cars, shooting sports, and relaxation with television after a long day of work, taking pleasure in the little things that made life enjoyable.
Jeffery's life will always be remembered for the compassion he showed to others, as well as the strength he exhibited throughout his battles. He is survived in spirit by his devoted wife, Debra R. Carroll, who stood by his side through every joy and challenge, and his daughter Rhys Carroll (Nikita) and brother Michael Derwood, who reflect his legacy in their own lives. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mavis Bellinda Richter, whose memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.
