BOYLE - John Edward Peacock, age 42, of Cleveland, died on Wednesday December 04, 2013 in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held Friday 12/06/2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday 12/07/2013 in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the North Cleveland Cemetery. Reverend Rocky McCollum will officiate the service.
John was born on July 14, 1971 to James and Shirley (McCollum) Peacock, Sr in Shelby, MS. He was a 1989 Cleveland High School graduate. He had also attended Mississippi Delta Community College and Delta State University. John was a self employed handyman /carpenter. He was a former Golden Glove Boxer. He enjoyed playing pool, boxing and photography. He was a former ping pong champion at Mississippi Delta. John's life revolved around his son Punchy, who was his world.
He is survived by father, James Thomas (Wilma) Peacock, Sr. of Cleveland, MS; Mother, Shirley M. Turner of Boyle, MS; Son, Tyler Peacock of Jackson, MS; Step- father Jerry Turner of Brandon, MS Brother, James Thomas (Suzane) Peacock, Jr of Cleveland, MS; Brother, Kevin Turner of Boyle, MS; Sister, Sharon P. (Paul) Youngblood of Tupelo, MS; Sister, Shannon "Shea" Belk of Indianola, MS; Sister, Elizabeth "Elise"(Joey) Mallette of Cleveland, MS; Sister, Lisa Ray of Merigold, MS; Sister, Robin (Kenny) Beevers of Southaven, MS; Sister, JoAnn (Jackie) Moody of Cleveland, MS; Grandmother, Ruth Cates of Gore Springs, MS and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Beck, Shane Kemp, Chris Harris, Jason Harris, Chase Peacock and John Paul Soliz. Honorary pallbearers are Duff Woodard, Butch Boyette, Scooter Boyette and Pat Stevens.
