John Roberson,

John "Dickie" Willie Roberson, Sr. age 58, of Cleveland , passed away on Thursday August 22, 2013 at the Bolivar Medical Center .  Visitation will be held Sunday August 25, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland .  Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Monday August 26, 2013 in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be at the North Cleveland Cemetery . Reverend Robert Haney will officiate the service. John was born on January 13, 1955 to Willie and Thelma (Vance) Roberson.  He was Greenwood native and was raised in the Lynn and Doddsville communities.   He married Schryle Donald Roberson on September 30, 1972 at the Church of God , in Cleveland . He has been a Cleveland resident since 1991. John was he owner of Roberson Vinyl Siding and had formerly worked at Tyson Foods as a refrigeration technician. He had also worked with Delta Pride Catfish and the RC Bottling Company in Indinola as a salesman.  Dickie was a member of Open Arms Revival Church .  He enjoyed listening to Gospel music and loved going to church and read his Bible. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. John was a very loving person who took in to his home and raised many children and will always be remembered as a hard working man who loved his family and they in returned loved him. He was preceded in death by his father.   He is survived by Wife, Schryle D. Roberson of Cleveland, MS.  Mother, Thelma Vance Roberson of Cleveland , MS . Two daughters; Pamela R. (Kevin) Williams of Aberdeen, MS and Jeanna (Jorge) Montemayor of Cleveland, MS. Sons; John W. (Ashley) Roberson, Jr. of Cleveland, MS. Three sisters; Linda Kay (James) Stokes of Cleveland, MS, Glenda Sue (Joe) McClure of Schlater, MS and Virginia Ann (Ronnie) Thornton of Cleveland, MS. Two brothers; Gordon (Connie) Roberson of Indianola, MS and Frankie Roberson of Cleveland, MS. He also leaves 13 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association 10900-B Stonelake Blvd., Suite 320 , Austin , TX 78759 .
