WEST LAFAYETTE -Keith James Jonathan "Keith" James, age 45, of West Lafayette, IN , died on Sunday March 28, 2010 at the Indiana University Medical Center after a long battle with esophageal cancer. He was born on November 27, 1964 to Joseph "Joey" and Judy (Woodruff) James in Grenada, MS. Keith attended the Cleveland Schools and graduated from Mississippi Delta Community College with a degree in drafting. He married Pamela Whitaker on April 19, 1986 in Cleveland, MS. He worked for Cives Steel Company in Rosedale from 1985-1996 until his transfer to the Wolcott, Indiana plant. Keith was a former little league coach. He loved hunting, fishing and being with his kids and their friends. He enjoyed spending time with family. He was especially fond of riding his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle. Memorial service will be held Friday April 2, 2010 7:00PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00PM till 7:00PM Friday April 2, 2010 at Cleveland Funeral Home. He is survived by Wife of 23 years, Pamela "Pammy" Whitaker James of West Lafayette, IN. Son, Matthew and his wife Jessica James of Lafayette, IN. Daughter, Tabitha Renay James of West Lafayette, IN. Father and Mother Joseph "Joey" Morris and Judy Ann W James of Glen, MS. Sister, Michelle J. Richardson of Cleveland, MS. Brother-in law Jimbo Whitaker of Water Valley, MS, Nephews Devin Richardson of Cleveland, 3 nieces Lindsay Richardson, Chloe Richardson both of Cleveland and Lilly Whitaker of Water valley, MS. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers the family of Jonathan "Keith" James requests that memorials be made to Esophageal Cancer Research at the I.U.
