CLEVELAND - Lenda Lee Hunt Weeks, age 67, of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday November 13, 2011 after a long courageous battle with multiple myeloma, at her residence. She was born on May 30, 1944 to Doyle and Mattie (Henderson) Hunt in Ackerman, MS. She married her high school sweetheart Lloyd Weeks on August 26, 1962 in Cleveland, MS. She retired in 2004 from Baxter Healthcare where she had worked for 42 years as a purchasing agent. She was a dedicated Christian and a member of the Bolivar Church of Christ. Mrs. Weeks enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and cooking. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Devon Hunt. Visitation will be held Monday November 14, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral Services will be held 10:00AM Tuesday November 15, 2011 at the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the North Cleveland Cemetery. Brent Smith and Wayne Moore will officiate the services. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Lloyd Weeks of Cleveland, MS. Two daughters, Kim Weeks (Charles) Gorman of Boyle, MS and Lisa Weeks (Chris) Giger of Cleveland, MS. Brother, Floyd Earl (Beatrice) Hunt of Belleville, IL. Grandchildren, Allan & Jordan Gorman of Boyle, MS. Grandchildren, Brett, Jared & Jason Giger of Cleveland, MS. Two special nieces and nephew Sylvia Lerch, Vicky Hundt and Jon Hunt, a host of other nieces and nephews, and her caregivers/friends Betty Watson and Memorie Thompson. Pallbearers are Jon Hunt, C. J. Lerch, Matt Lerch, Thomas Tanksley, Charles Boyette and Larry Davis.
