Linda Kay Bridges, a beloved hairdresser, passed away on October 10, 2023, at Azalea Commons in Cleveland, MS. She was born on January 2, 1952, in her hometown of Cleveland. Linda was known for her loving personality and was a hippie at heart.

Kay attended Cleveland High School and later pursued her passion for hair styling. She dedicated her career to making people look and feel their best. Kay's skillful hands brought joy to countless clients who left her salon feeling confident and beautiful.

Beyond her profession, Kay had many interests that she cherished. She enjoyed watching old movies and listening to music, finding solace in the timeless classics that transported her to another time and place.

Family meant everything to Kay, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She is survived by her son Joseph Dewight Bridges of Dallas, TX. Linda also leaves behind her sisters Martha Walters and Brenda Junkin (Jerry), both of Cleveland, MS; brother Hoyet Lewis of Indianola, MS; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Kay also leaves behind her loving cat companion Clyde.  

Kay was preceded in death by her parents Joe Lewis and Frances Harden Lewis, her loving husband William P. Bridges "Bud," her son Byron Anthony Bridges, and brother-in-law John Walters.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on October 12, 2023, at North Cleveland Cemetery located on N Bayou Rd in Cleveland, MS.  This gathering will serve as an opportunity for family members and friends to bid farewell while offering support to one another during this difficult time.

In memory of Linda Kay Bridges' remarkable life as a hairdresser who touched the hearts of many and left a lasting impact on those she met along the way, let us remember her fondly and carry her love and warmth in our hearts. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.

The family would like to issue a special thanks to caregivers at Azalea Commons for taking care of Kay for all of these years.
