Maria Vargas Enriquez

Maria "Mary" Vargas Enriquez, age 93, of Pace, MS, died on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Hattiesburg. She was born on December 05, 1916 to Pedro and Maria (Menendez) Vargas in Sunflower County, MS. She was a member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church. Mrs. Enriquez's family says she was a loving mother and grandmother who was always giving of her self and her wisdom. Her passion was sewing. She loved to sew garments and quilts for her children. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Nick Garza Enriquez, Sr., daughter-in-law, Marie Enriquez, grandson William Johnny Ferri, Jr., granddaughter, Eva Ferri Stokes, great granddaughter, Amelia Lynne Nelson Rosary will be at 4.30 PM Tuesday February 2, 2010 at Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel Visitation will follow 5:00 PM ~ 07:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. Funeral Mass Services will be held Wednesday February 3, 2010 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Cleveland. Burial will follow at New Cleveland Cemetery. The family and friends will then gather back at the Parish Hall of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Cleveland, MS Father Sean Atkinson will officiate the services She is survived by Son, Joe Enriquez (Gloria)of Cleveland, MS. Son, Nick Enriquez, Jr. (Mary Louise) of Memphis, TN. Daughter, Mary Helen Ferri (William)of Marion, AL. Daughter, Olivia Lara (Daniel) of Cleveland, MS. Son, Pete Enriquez (Sarah) of Pearl, MS. Daughter, Josephine Enriquez of Pace, MS. Daughter, Victoria McKnight (Roy) of Gore Springs, MS. Daughter, Alice Smith (Donnie) of Pace, MS. Daughter, Dora Hobdy (Gregg) of Hattiesburg, MS. Daughter, Martha Enriquez of Pace, MS. Daughter, Cecilia Lucio (Mike) of Rosedale, MS. Son, Robert Edward Enriquez (Tina) of Greenville, MS. Sister, Beatrice Enriquez of Pico Riviera, CA. Sister, Isabelle Delgado of Whittier, CA. 28 Grandchildren 49 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great, Great Grandchildren.
