Mark Allen Vardaman

Mark Allen Vardaman peacefully entered into eternal rest on September 30, 2024, embraced by the love of Jesus. His journey was marked by a courageous battle with health challenges that he faced with unwavering hope and faith. Mark embodied the teachings of Christ through his daily walk and was an inspiring testament to those fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, 3, 2024, from noon to 1:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. Following this, a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 PM, officiated by Reverend James Twiner. Mark will be laid to rest in North Cleveland Cemetery.

Born on July 1, 1973, in Shelby, Mississippi, Mark was the son of Jerry Wayne Vardaman, Sr. and Shirley Ann McPherson Vardaman. He spent his formative years in Cleveland, where he received his education and developed a deep love for his hometown.

Mark had a remarkable zest for life and shared an infectious joy with everyone he encountered. His capacity for forgiveness and positivity was unwavering, as he consistently sought to uplift those around him with a smile and a kind word. He cherished his relationships, often giving personalized nicknames to friends and family, reflecting his playful spirit and warmth.

He held a special bond with his nephew, Jeremy Blake Vardaman Jones, who provided care and companionship during Mark's later years. Mark's legacy of love and perseverance will be remembered by those whose lives he enriched.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Wayne Vardaman, Sr. He is survived by his beloved mother, Shirley Vardaman; his brother, Jerry Wayne Vardaman, II; his sisters, Debbie Thompson and Lisa Sanchez; and a multitude of nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and great-great-nieces.

Serving as pallbearers are Jerry Vardaman II, Jeremy Vardaman Jones, Craig Brougher, David Williams, Chris Turner, and Kevin Williams.
