June 17, 1926 — October 20, 2012

Mary Alice Ashley Beasley Nunnery, age 86, of Ruleville, passed away on Saturday October 20, 2012 at her daughter's home in Ruleville. Visitation will be held Monday October 22, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland.  Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday October 23, 2012 at Bethany Baptist Church in Merigold, MS.  Interment will follow at 3:00PM in the Poplar Springs Cemetery in Crystal Springs, MS.  Mary was born on June 20, 1926 to Carl and Rosamond (Slay) Ashley in Simpson County, MS.  She graduated from the Simpson County School System. In 1945 she married Thomas Avery Beasley and later married Lloyd Nunnery. Mary was a former cafeteria cook for the Boyet Jr High School in Slidell, LA. Mary had several hobbies including baking and decorating wedding cakes, reading, sewing and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She was a member of several churches over her years of service to the Lord having been a member of Beacon Street Baptist Church, Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Slidell, LA, and West Drew Baptist Church. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; Thomas Avery Beasley and Lloyd Nunnery, daughter Barbara Broussard, sisters; Christine Becker and Elizabeth "Libby" Allen and a brother Wallace Ashley.    Mary is survived by Daughter, Janis B. McNally of Ruleville, MS.  Daughter, Sandra B. Alligood of Monroe, LA.  Daughter, Suzzanne Nunnery of Slidell, LA.  Sister, Dorothy A. DiMaggio of Bush, LA. 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Terry McNally, Tim Alligood, Kevin Broussard, Ashley Broussard, John Calecas, Stephen Myers. Honorary pallbearer is Johnny Alligood.
