Mollie Anne Smith Lishman Mollie Anne Smith Lishman, age 66, of Carrollton, died Tuesday March 10, 2009 at the Crystal Health & Rehab in Greenwood. She was born on January 17, 1943 to G. A. and Myrtle (Hurst) Smith in Lancaster, CA. She was a beloved wife and mother. Mrs. Lishman had a deep devotion to her children and family. She loved the outdoors nurturing the growth of flowers and plants. She also had a great love for her pond of fish she fed watching their growth on a daily basis. Mrs. Lishman was the creator of Mollie's Quilted Collectibles, which featured items such as Santa's, dolls, ect. She was also an avid collector of clowns. Mrs. Lishman was recently featured as a Team Kudzu, American Cancer Society, team member, having the first on-line donations made in her honor this year. Mrs. Lishman fought breast cancer since June of 2004, going into remission in December of 2004 and being diagnosed in May of 2008 with metastatic breast cancer. Mrs. Lishman's story was in the Team Kudzu Relay for Life storyline in Greenwood Commonwealth February 13, 2009. Visitation will be held Wednesday 03/11/2009 from 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM at the Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 03/12/2009 11:00 AM at Wilson & Knight Chapel in Greenwood, MS. Burial will be at the Valley Hill Methodist Cemetery in Carroll County, MS. The Rev. Tommy Clark and Rev. Gary Bunch will officiate the services. She is survived by husband, Bob Lishman of Carrollton, Ms. Son, Bobby and wife Melanie Lishman of Slidell, LA. Daughter, Elizabeth and husband Donnie Daves of Carrollton, MS. Daughter, Cathy and husband Bobby Barnett of Carrollton, MS. Daughter, Margaret and husband George Davis of Carrollton, MS. Daughter, Gloria and husband David Reed of Greenville, MS. Sister, Margaret Tyler of Elksville, IL. Sister, Hazel Meriweather of Carrollton, MS. Sister, Gail Long of Greenwood, MS. Her pride and joy were her 5 Children 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great grandchildren. Mrs. Lishman was preceded in death by her parents, sister Winnie Hughes, three brothers; William Smith, G. A. "Junior "Smith, and Billy Smith. Pallbearers will be Stanley Barnett, Arty McCully, Kirk Gray, Michael Haddon, Paul Davis, Mitch Edwards.
