Mr. Charles Robb

November 19, 1925 — January 26, 2015

CLEVELAND - Charles Alfred Robb, age 89, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday January 26, 2015 at the Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland.

Visitation will be held Friday 01/30/2015 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday 01/31/2015 in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the North Cleveland Cemetery. Reverend John Thomas will officiate the service.

Mr. Robb was born on November 19, 1925 to Jack and Maude (Thomas) Robb in the Dockery Community. He attended Ruleville Schools. Mr. Robb was a WW II United States Army Purple Heart recipient Veteran. He married Dorie Brasher Robb on June 7 1951. Mr. Robb drove for the 61 Cab Company, he was the first cab driver for the City of Cleveland, which is how he came to meet his lovely bride to be. He had also worked for Denton Dairy and then the Mississippi Department of Transportation for 22 years. Upon his retirement Mr. Robb was known as the Can Man, he enjoyed getting his exercise by picking up cans around the community. Mr. Robb also enjoyed watching sports on TV and was a member of Morrison Chapel Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorie B. Robb, four sisters, Helen Wheeler, Dorothy Lee, Clara Robertson and Bessie Robertson, two Brothers, Herman and Frank Robb.


He is survived by Son, James (Janice) Robb of Springfield, VA. Daughter, Melissa Dyche of Cleveland, MS. Daughter, Angela(Mac) McNeer of Cleveland, MS. Son, Keith (Lisa) Robb of Cleveland, MS. Sister, Alice Simpson of Glendale, AZ. 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Pallbearers are Lane Quinton, Jamey Smith, Andy Pearson, Brasher Robb, Matthew Robb and Jonathan Chisolm. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Morrison Chapel Baptist Church and Bill Hunter

Memorials may be made to Morrison Chapel Baptist Church Building fund 196 Morrison Chapel Rd. Cleveland, MS 38732.
Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
