Myra Ann White


Myra Ann Rodgers White age 83 of Heber Springs AR passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at the Southridge Assisted Living in Heber Springs, AR.

Myra was born August 19, 1937, to Lewis J and Clyde Ivy Rodgers in Belen, MS. She graduated from Vicksburg High School. She was married to Hugh E White in 1957. She and Hugh traveled with the United States Air Force for 23 years before settling in Merigold for many years until moving to Arkansas to be near her children. Myra worked at Bolivar Medical Center for many years until her retirement. Myra was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Cleveland. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Clyde Rodgers, husband, Hugh E. White, Sr., sister, Lola R. Clemmons, and brother Lewis J. Rodgers, Jr.
She is survived by three children, Gregory Dale White (Lois) of Heber Springs, Arr, Kathi W. Carr of Heber Springs, AR., and Chad Bryan White (Stacy Malone) of Tumbling Sholes, AR. Two sisters, Dorothy J Box and Kay R. Campbell both of Cleveland, MS. She also leaves four grandsons, Two granddaughters, and five great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be Saturday, October 3, 2020, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Drew City Cemetery in Drew, MS. Reverends Kenny, Jordan, and Tony Clemmons will officiate the services.
Pallbearers are her grandsons Joey White, Matthew White, Bryan White, and Brad Britt.
