BOYLE - Nettie A. Thacker Dykes, age 84, of Boyle, MS, died Thursday March 12, 2009 at Bolivar County Medical Center. She was born on February 15, 1925 to Isaac and Pauline (Adams) Thacker in Corinth, MS. Mrs. Dykes was a homemaker formerly from Quitman & Tunica Counties and had lived in the Bolivar County area since 1975. She was former member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Boyle. Mrs. Nettie love to fish and work in her vegetable and flower garden with her husband. Her family says she was a wonderful and compassionate person who was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by all who new her. She was preceded in death by brothers; Homer Thacker, David Thacker, R G Thacker and sister, Georgia Ann Dykes. Visitation will be held Friday 03/13/2009 from 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Graveside services will be held Saturday 03/14/2009 02:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sledge, Ms. The Rev. Wilburn Brock will officiate the service. She is survived by husband of 68 years James A. Dykes of Boyle. Sons, William Dykes of Sledge, Earl Dykes of Boyle, Eugene Dykes of Brookhaven, Billy Dykes of Cleveland, and Danny Dykes of Ruleville. Daughters; Pearl Fuller of Sledge, and Joann Scruggs of Yellville, AR, Sister; Mary Hobson of Grenada and Brother, Willard Thacker of Grenada. 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. And a special friend Rosie Ray of Boyle Pallbearers will be her 5 sons and grandson Robert Fuller. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association P.O.
