b. September 17, 1952
Peggy Lynn Bilbo Chouccoli passed away Friday, September 15, 2023, at Baptist Hospital in Columbus, MS at the age of 70. She was born September 17, 1952, in Parkdale, AR to Claude Presley Bilbo and Martha Lou Phillips Bilbo. The family moved to Greenville, MS when Peggy was around the age of 5. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1970.
While working at Distribuco, Inc., she met the love of her life, Larry Anthony Chouccoli. They married on June 15, 1973, in Greenville, MS just two weeks before he was leaving for active duty. They moved to Fort Eustis, VA where they welcomed their firstborn child, Angela. They often joked about her being the only child they could afford- paying just $5.25 in full.
Peggy always supported her husband's surrender to the ministry where they served as a bi-vocational team for over 45 years. Peggy would help subsidize their income by working at different jobs, her last being at Wal-Mart until her retirement in 2018.
Peggy and Larry loved going to the Ozarks to hear a little pickin‘ and grinnin' and in Hot Springs they enjoyed fishing off the pier, (Peggy couldn't swim). Since Peggy didn't eat fish, it was catch and release of course.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; Claude Presley Bilbo and Martha Lou Bilbo, sister Wanda Sue Stewart, and brother David Wayne Bilbo.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Larry Anthony Chouccoli of Shaw, MS daughters; Angela Louvenia Jenkins (Jeremy) of Brusly, LA, Teresa Lynn Moody (Ronald) of Texarkana, AR, son Larry "Tony" Anthony Chouccoli, Jr. (Cassandra) of Denham Springs, LA, sister Sharon Loyce Homan (Robert) of Greenville, MS, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandsons, and 1 great-granddaughter.
Visitation for Peggy will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS. Trent Chouccoli and Robert Homan will officiate the service.
Pallbearers are Caleb Johnson, Caleb Ogden, Joseph Moody, Tyler Chouccoli, Logan Parnell, and Cody Ray.
