R G Leopard

BOYLE- RG Leopard age 78 of Boyle, MS passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at the Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, MS.

A walk-through visitation will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021, from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. A Graveside funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM at the Henry Family Cemetery in Pace, MS. Reverend Charles Young will officiate the services. The family requests that masks be worn at all times.

RG was born April 15, 1943, to Earl Rosco and Bernice Marie White Leopard in Grady Arkansas. He moved to the Delta at an early age. He married Louise Vanderford on September 18, 1964. RG worked on a farm most of his life. The family says he could fix most anything he put a mind to. His favorite pastime was spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to the races, watching racing on TV, hunting, fishing, and attending yard sales of which he kept everything he purchased. He will be missed by his many family members and friends.

RG was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Bernice Leopard, wife, Louise V. Leopard, daughter, Polly Ann Hart, siblings; Ada Louise Howard, Betty Lou Vanderford, Earleen Brooks, Jerry Wayne Leopard, Jule Leopard, Earl Leopard, Jr., and granddaughters, Kimberly Ann Gilbert and Shirley Louise.

He is survived by three daughters, Ella Louise Gilbert (Albert), of Eupora, MS, Mary Jane Garcia (Jesus) of Doddsville, MS, and Pamela Denise Lopez (Mario) of Memphis, TN, son, R G Leopard, Jr.(Crystal) of Boyle, MS, four sisters; Rosie Ray of Boyle, MS, Marie Glenn of Arkansas, Brenda Irby of Shaw, MS, Jean Johnson of Greenville, MS and a brother J T Leopard of Shaw, MS.13 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Michael Underwood, Jesus Garcia, John Garcia, Dustin Irby, Deano Huskey, and Joseph Jones. Honorary pallbearers are R G Leopard, Jr. and Jimmy Earl Leopard.
