Robert Dwayne Steed

SENATOBIA- Robert Dwayne Steed age 53 of Senatobia, MS passed away Monday, April 19,2021 at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN. 

Visitation will be held Friday, April 23, 2021 from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Colonial Hill Church. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Colonial Hill Church sanctuary. Reverend John Sayger will officiate the services.

Dwayne was born February 1, 1968 to James and Dealie Sappington Steed in Cleveland, MS. He graduated Cleveland High School in 1986 and attended Mississippi Delta Community College. Dwayne married Tonya Burchfield June 26,1993 at West Drew Baptist Church. He and Tonya lived in Southaven, MS until 2014 when they moved to Senatobia, MS. Dwayne work with Knight and Wilson HVAC Company in Memphis, TN off and on for over 27 years as a driver.
He loved to hunt, fish, watch NASCAR, dirt track racing, and Tennessee Titans Football. He was a member of Colonial Hill Church. Dwayne was a loving husband and father who will be missed by his many friends and family. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Steed, and Gervis Vanlandingham, and step father Tommy York.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Tonya J. Steed of Senatobia, MS, two sons, Dylan and Dalton Steed both of Senatobia, MS, daughter, Emily (Zach) Goodrow of Walls, MS, grandson, Elijah Goodrow of Walls, MS, father, James (Sandra) Steed of Cleveland, MS, mother, Dealie York of Cleveland, MS, brother Garlan Steed of Teague, TX.  He also leaves a host of friends and extended family to cherish his memory. 

Pallbearers are Tony Burchfield, Garlan Steed, Dylan Steed, Dalton Steed, Jake Steed, and Matt Paniagua.

Cleveland Funeral Home is in Charge of arrangements. The online guest register may be signed at www.clevelandfuneralhome.net.

That sweet sweet man adored you and his family. I cant imagine how you are hurting during this hard time. Wish so much that you will come by one day and lets just catch up and share about those we have loved so long coming to know Jesus. I am so sorry to hear of Dwayne's passing. His Dad is my first cousin but like most families, we have lost contact over the years...Dwayne was a little boy the last time I saw him. I send my heartfelt condolences to Delia Ann, Sonny & their family. May God give you peace in this sad time.

to robert's family i am so very sorry for your loss he was a wonderful person he had worked for our company for 20+ years off and on he always seemed so happy, and upbeat and always had a smile on his face. He was a great employee and driver who always did a great job. I know there are no words to take away your pain, but please know he will always be remembered by all of us at Knight & Wilson.....
