Rose Marie Harper Hill, age 74, of Boyle, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born on October 11, 1951, in Duncan, Mississippi, Rose Marie was the beloved daughter of W. B. and Mary Lee Tucker Harper. A lifelong resident of Bolivar County, she married Bobby Lee Hill on October 25, 1969, in Shaw, Mississippi. Throughout her life, Marie dedicated herself to both her family and her work, spending 13 years with Duo Fast Corporation and many years thereafter in the laundry division at Delta State University until her retirement.
Marie was a devoted mother who treasured every moment with her loved ones. Her kindness and generosity touched many, and she found joy in helping others. She also had a fondness for collecting stuffed animals and was deeply committed to her faith, serving faithfully at Pace Pentecostal Church—a testament to the love and devotion she shared with her family and friends.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her cherished husband, Bobby Lee Hill; brothers William Harper, Charles Harper, and Billy Harper; and sister Shirley Lawson. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Randy Hill of Boyle, Mississippi, and Tina Hill Blaylock and husband John of Southaven, Mississippi; her siblings Roy Harper and wife Patsy of Warren, Arkansas, Jimmy Harper and wife Donna of Indianola, Mississippi, James Harper and wife Linda of Beaumont, Mississippi, and Ruthie H. Rogers and husband Eddie of Raymond, Mississippi; her grandson, Jason Michael Hill; and a host of nieces and nephews.
