July 24, 1944 — August 22, 2015

CLEVELAND - Rosie Lee Ray Hatcher, age 71, of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday August 22, 2015 at her home.

Visitation will be held Monday August 24, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Open Arms Revival Center in Boyle. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Open Arms Revival Center in Boyle, MS. Burial will be at the North Cleveland Cemetery. Reverend Greg Hamilton and Reverend John Hatcher will officiate the services.
Rosie was born on July 24, 1944 to George and Lillie (Barrett) Ray in Cleveland, MS. She attended Bayou Academy School. Rosie was a seamstress for 15 years, worked as a cook for the Cleveland School District for 20 years and for the past 10 years she has been the caregiver for the infant children at Open Arms Daycare. Rosie was a faithful member of the Open Arms Revival Center Church. She loved taking care of her infant children at the daycare, speaking of them even to her last days. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her flower garden and pruning her many rose bushes. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. John Herzog, Continue Care Home Health and the LTACH at Delta Regional Hospital.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents George and Lillie Ray, husband James G. Hatcher, Two brothers, George Tom Ray Jr., sister, Robbie Beck and a son-in-law, Rev. Tony Caswell.

Rosie is survived by her children; Robert Bingham of Eupora, MS, Brenda Westmoreland of Eupora, MS, Wanda Caswell of Boyle, MS, Karen Hatcher of Grenada, MS, James Hatcher of Cleveland, MS, Marsha Skellion of Cleveland, MS, Jewell Bruce of Tunica, MS, Billy Joe Ray of Ruleville, Ms, Ann Goss of Sunflower, MS. 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are, Randy Westmoreland, Jr., Tony Skellion, Jr., Jonathan McNeer, James Therrell, Storm Cole and Kenny Millican.

Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Bingham, Tony Skellion and Jamie Hatcher.
