Sandra Paulette Williams

Sandra Paulette Yarbrough Williams, aged 75, of Tutwiler, MS, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22 2024, at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale MS.

Sandra was born on May 7, 1949, in Brazile, Mississippi, to her loving parents Wesley Burton Yarbrough and Doris Earlene Melton Yarbrough. She completed her education at West Tallahatchie High School and went on to receive her RN Degree from Mississippi Delta Community College. Sandra dedicated over 27 years of service as a Registered Nurse at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center before her well-deserved retirement.

As a member of the Mississippi Nurses Association, Sandra's passion for nursing was evident in her caring nature and dedication to her profession. Beyond her work, she found joy in tending to her yard and flower garden, admiring birds, creating ceramics/pottery, and most of all, in the company of her beloved family and friends. Remembered as a trailblazer—resilient and fiercely independent—Sandra was a pillar of strength for her family and was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents Wesley Yarbrough and Doris Garcia, as well as by her brothers Jimmy Randall Yarbrough and Herbert Tyrone Yarbrough, and her sister Donna Yvonne LeBouf.

She is survived by her sons Charles Ray Williams (Rosemary) of Laporte, TX; Robert Wesley Williams (Kelvin Brown) of Tutwiler; daughter Laquita Lynn Williams Sandifer (Timbo) of Boyle, MS; brother Roger Yarbrough (Becky) of Marquez, TX; sister Theresa Yarbrough Jennings of Marquez, TX; grandchildren Megan Williams, Charles Ray Williams III, Elizabeth Hope Sandifer, and Ethan Graham Sandifer. Sandra also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory dear. The family extends special gratitude to Sandra's caregiver Martha Brown for her unwavering dedication.

Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects during the visitation scheduled from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 26th at Cleveland Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will directly follow at 1:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with burial to take place at Ashland Cemetery in Cascilla, MS. The services will be officiated by Sister Myra Ellis.

Honoring Sandra as pallbearers are Charles Williams III, Ethan Sandifer, Robert Williams, Timbo Sandifer, Bobby Williams, and Tommy Pugh.
