Teresa Moses, a cherished member of the Cleveland, Mississippi, community, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 7, 1955, Teresa lived a life filled with dedication, compassion, and a deep commitment to her family and her profession.
Teresa began her education journey at Cleveland High School, graduating in 1972, before pursuing her dream in nursing at Mississippi University for Women. Her healthcare career was marked by her work at North Sunflower Medical Center in the Alcohol and Drug Center, and at Delta Regional in Greenville, Mississippi in the Psych unit, where she touched the lives of many with her caring heart and professional expertise.
Above all, Teresa was proud of her family. She leaves behind her beloved daughters, Jennifer (A.W.) Parks of Drew, and Emily Tackett (Allen Hopkins) of Cleveland. Her legacy continues through her adoring grandchildren, Alex Parks (Rylee), Trevor Parks, Tristan Parks, Mabrey Parks, and Ruby Parks, all of Drew, as well as Landon Knight (Blaire), Preston Davis, and Hudson Tackett of Cleveland. Teresa also held a special place in her heart for her great-grandchildren, Bryntleigh and Bo Knight of Cleveland. Her devotion extended to her siblings, with her sisters Pat Hodges (Tim) of Cleveland and Wanda Arbogast (Charles) of Greenville standing by her. Additionally, she is remembered by several nieces, including Alana Palmer, Katie Moon, Leanne Obmann, and her nephew Brad Arbogast.
Teresa’s life was not only defined by her professional accomplishments but also by her love for her family. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. She had a passion for flowers and music, which brought her joy in her daily life. Teresa's heart held the memory of her late husband, Bill Moses, whom she loved deeply.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill Moses; her father, John Bruce; her mother, Eloise Bruce; and her niece, Kimberly Arbogast.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Teresa Moses will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she touched with her kindness and unwavering support. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
