Thelma Alice Griffin

CABOT - Thelma Alice Haynes Griffin, age 66, of Cabot, AR, passed away on Friday November 13, 2015 at the St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, AR.

Visitation will be held Monday November 16, 2015 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral Services will follow visitation at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Drew Cemetery. Reverend Danny Roberts will officiate the services.

Alice was born on July 20, 1949 to James and Lorene (Harris) Roberts in Beulah, MS. She lived in Beulah till the age of 14 and moved to Drew-Merigold area to live with the Haynes family. Alice moved to Horn Lake and then to Texas in 1991, where she met and married Stanley Griffin. They lived in West Columbia, TX and Sulpher Springs, TX until her husbands death. She then moves to Cabot AR to be near family. Alice enjoyed gardening and loved to drink Coffee. She also enjoyed volunteering at local nursing homes. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Lorene Roberts, Husband Stanley Griffin, two brothers, John David Roberts and Jimmy Roberts and mother-in-law Merle Haynes.

Alice is survived by Son, Randy and wife Donnia Haynes of Cabot, AR. Daughter, Sherry Blake of Sardis, MS. Three brothers, James Roberts of Angleton, TX, Gary Roberts of San Antonio, TX, and Danny Roberts of El Campo, TX. Two sisters, Judy Mora and Sandra Timms both of Seattle, WA. Two grandchildren, Lauryn Haynes and Aaron Lipsey. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Tommy Haynes, Sr., Tommy Haynes, Jr., Tony Burchfield, Chad Swinford, Barry Haynes and Benny Haynes.
